About me

I consider myself an engineer first and a professor second, driven by a passion for solving challenging problems and sharing knowledge with the next generation of engineers. Currently, I work as an Associate Professor at the Department of Automatic Control and Electronics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering , University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the Faculty, I founded the BH MachineVision Lab , an informal research group dedicated to exploring innovative solutions in the fields of computer vision and image processing.

Beyond academia, I work as a consultant at EnergoBos ILJIN Sarajevo, specializing in measurement systems, data acquisition, and addressing challenges in the development of medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers. Additionally, I am the founder of PixelmatIQ , a company providing consulting services in machine vision, specialized measurements, and other engineering fields.

And when I’m not immersed in teaching, research, or consulting, I’m cheering on my kids from the sidelines of their football matches - my favorite extracurricular activity!

Mentoring

Below, you will find a list of current research topics that can be selected as potential subjects for your first (bachelor's) or second (master's) cycle of studies, or even as seminar projects or research initiatives aimed at enhancing your skills and knowledge. Students are also welcome to propose their own topics, provided they align with or complement the areas of interest I have previously explored or currently offer.

Additionally, some of the theses completed by students in previous years are published here. These serve as a source of inspiration, offering insights into my areas of focus and helping students identify topics they might wish to further develop. It is worth noting that topics prior to 2015 were primarily supervised by Prof. Dr. Melita Ahic-Djokic, though I was actively involved in co-supervising and collaborating on these projects.

Some of the works are available for download, while others are not yet publicly accessible. This is either because they are being prepared for publication or because they require further refinement before being shared more broadly. However, if you are interested in any of these works, feel free to reach out, and I will gladly share them with you privately where possible.
